The Snow Must Go On
The exhibition "The Snow Must Go On" at Huberty & Breyne, Paris | Chapon, presents original plates from the latest album by artist Midam, released on August 28, 2026. The show focuses on Midam's "Game Over" series, which features the character Kid Paddle's "Petit Barbare" (Little Barbarian) embarking on perilous quests. Since 1996, this character has faced spectacular and absurd failures, serving as an allegory for life. The "Game Over" universe, developed since 2004, is known for its dialogue-free narratives that rely on visual storytelling, drawing inspiration from influences like Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote, La Linea, Buster Keaton, and The Pink Panther.
This exhibition highlights the visual richness, inventive situations, and precise narration of the "Game Over" series, explaining its enduring popularity in European comics. Additionally, the exhibition will feature "Blorks," the series' distinctive monsters, with new works and a second volume of the "Pokeblork" book being released. The exhibition runs from August 28 to September 19, 2026.
