Essence

Galerie Balice Hertling presents Essence, a solo exhibition by Morgan Courtois. Courtois, born in 1988 in Abbeville, France, lives and works in Paris. His recent solo exhibitions include presentations at Balice Hertling, Paris (2026, 2016), Fondation Pernod Ricard, Paris (2022), and Centre d’art contemporain Les Capucins, Embrun (2019).

His work has been featured in group exhibitions at MO.CO., Montpellier (2025), Collection Lambert, Avignon (2024), and Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris (2021, 2017), among others. Courtois participated in the Lyon Biennial in 2022 and the Geneva Biennial of Sculpture in 2020. He graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Lyon in 2012, received the Meurice Prize for Contemporary Art in 2017, and completed a residency at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten, Amsterdam, in 2018.
